Are the gnomes using them too!

I don't want any. I was thinking Santa sent them to the South Pole with all the bad elves to ruminate.

I have a pair in my backyard right now. They do look a bit cold out there in the snow though. I have an extra pair stored in the garage. The gnomes have taken residence in the greenhouse though. I can see them looking at me from my dining room window.

Some years ago, a suburb of Winnipeg, Canada, where I used to live, had it's 75th anniversary. Transcona was famous for its lawn ornaments -- some lawns looked like mini-golf courses! So the celebration logo was the pink lawn flamingo. It was fun and everyone got into the spirit of lawn decoration, if they hadn't already!

I loved those pink PLASTIC flamingos and miss them so much. They were 'kitschy' in our city a few years ago, but have all DISAPPEARED since then ... but you can get INFLATABLE pink plastic flamingos from REI.com if you want to have some of your very own. I know they have them ... we live in Seattle and shop at the store and I see them all the time. I like the 'inflatable' ones because you can let the air out and store them more easily than the big, hard plastic ones of long ago!

A secret group of people in charge of making sure the property values across the land stay as high as they can are to blame. They go from yard to yard at night and remove the flamingos.

Word is property values have been stabilized and all of us that own property owe them a big thank you.

The pink flamingos are still in Indiana. In fact, it is kind of a tradition/joke that when somebody has a birthday, they wake up with a whole flock of pink flamingos in their yard.

Hay Wal-mart
I seen them all in Reno last weekend.
They all had big diaper bags of cash and were pushing and scrambling in and out of the casinos. And behind their trail of tears were left blue and pink balloons shaped like your gnomes. But the older gnomes had caps and tams like the Scots and the younger ones clad in poka-dot two piece bathing suits. There.......lol

So far as I know they became unpopular and were phased out like clothing styles, in today out tomorrow. They may come back some day same for the gnomes.

That company that used to make the pink flamingo's went out of business. Hope this helps.

They live in Huntsville, Alabama! - along with the black and white cows on folks' front lawns when somebody has a birthday! LOL [this is true!]

I told my best friend [when I was thinking of moving there] that if she EVER put those tacky little monsters on my front lawn I'd crucify her!

Now, gargoyles??? LUV EM

I think they moved them all to Altus, OK. A church youth group there put them all over different places at night so you wake up in the morning to your yard full of them. If you wish you can give a donation to the group and they will not do your yard, or they leave a message how to get a hold of them and they will remove them for a donation, or for free if you call. Most everyone gives them a donation.
