I need to get my house ready, I mean really ready, for the holidays. The dishes are washed, the beds are made, etc, but I need to do the extra stuff like dust, clean bathrooms, floors, etc. My question is should I do it now, or wait until closer? Do you clean for the holiday guest that may be comming to see you? I feel better when the house looks really nice, but just can't find the energy to do it. I have had this terrible cold.

Wait until you have the energy and is closer to Christmas such as a few days before and employ your family and friends to help out with the housework, also start with the larger rooms and work your way down to smaller rooms this will give you some incentive to clean and will be much easier for you Good Luck !

I think if you stick with a general cleaning routine and leave the heavy duty stuff till the week of Christmas you'll have less to do... I like to vacuum EVERYDAY it saves on a lot of dusting... I also vacuum my furniture weekly (I have 2 small children/dog).... Save the heavy duty scouring of the entire bathroom for the week of Christmas.. Maybe pick a day and focus on one room.. Give it a really good cleaning... Good luck and feel better...
