The reason why the united states got involved with WWI and WWII is because of two things: the sinking of the Lusitania and the bombing of pearl harbor. In WWI the British had a passenger ship named the Lusitania. Now on the ship were American passengers, while on the voyage the Germans decided to attack the ship. The ship sank killing the americans, giving the United States a reason to enter WWI, for revenge. Pearl harbor was an american naval base, in which many american soldiers were located. When the Japanese bombed the base they killed many of the people on the base, which again made the United States angry and want to get revenge on the country that attacked them.

The only nation to emerge, really victorious, with relatively few victims (too many anyway you see it) was the US of A. Britain practically went bankrupt, lost the flower of it’s youth, and its dominance in World affairs, France and Belgium were the two most hit, because the war was staged on their territory, three Empires were destroyed, German, Austrian and Russian, Italy had horrendous human losses, both civil and military and paved the way to the Fascist era. The result was the “fall” of European supremacy all over the World, especially in Industry and Trade. If someone “staged it”, he was a Wall Street operator or an Arms manufacturer (don’t believe it for as minute) and botched it, because the job ended by the killing off of his customers and market. It certainly made things easy for Hitler and his cronies and caused the bloodiest Century to date.
I can see lots of examples of “staged wars”, Bismarck’s Franco Prussian for one (the Ems telegram), the destroying of the German Hansa (the Northern war), financed by Spain, in order to break the “timber” monopoly, which was killing Hapsburg finances (Ships). WWI certainly wasn’t. It was more of a tragic error, the fruit of idiotic, myopic “Alliances” and the excessive confidence in the Schlieffen Plan on the part of the German High Command.

Its possible, maybe even likely, that some small wars involving few countries are staged. BUT, a world war takes invovlement from several countries. Two problems with this
1. Unification- you need some countires to unify in order to set up the war. The pride that one feels make this a difficult task
2. If it was just one country setting it up, then you would need the rest of them to act in a set way, or else your plan would go to hell. There is just too many variables.

It is important to realize, that war is extremely profitable in terms of economical development! Secondly, the world wars had shifted the power bases in advantage of the United States (& Russia)!
To answer your question I have felt this way before (however, I think a better question to ask would potentially be, "Have you ever considered that the world wars were entirely avoidable, if logical paths and considerations were pursued instead of propaganda provided by corporate interest?")
I hope this answer was useful.

Why in the world would anyone think that? I do not know much about WWI but nothing that I know about WWII leads me to think Pearl Harbor was anything other then a surprise attack.

If you mean that all the governments in the world got together and said "Hey guys, we haven't killed many people lately, and i have a bout 4 billion expendible people...let's go to war, but we need a reason, I know! the Jews! let's draw lots to see who gets persecution rights... oh Germany, bad luck! but we'll need a real wack to pin this on, so Hitler, you're our man!"
no i have never wondered that. who in their right mind would stage the killing of six million jews, and 4 million others?

No, and it is important to consider a couple of fallacies when considering these kind of questions:
1. Burden of Proof lies on the position of the afirmitive
2. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary edvidence

Staged. They were the farthest thing from staged. They were more like spiraling chaos.

Designed by the multi-national industrialists and arms makers? i've often wondered, but it's doubtful it was 'staged'
