I was just doing some research and now I'm wondering if I have problems with my reproductive organs. After having the baby of course my cycle was irregular I wasn't no longer the 28 day cycle, I ranged from 28-33 days, last month I was 2 weeks late, having my cycle length 45 days long and only bleeding for 6 days instead of 7. So 45 days is consider to be irregular right? Where can I go for the them to check if there's anything wrong? I only have medicaid as a health insurance here in ny? I've never in my life had a 45 day length and now I don't even know when to expect my period for this month, I'm not even sure whether ill get it or not

Cycle length of from 20 to 45 days is within normal. It is common to have irregular periods with or without childbirth, and very common while breast feeding and in the first few months after weaning. The uncertainty is annoying, carry sanitary supplies in your purse at all times so you don't get caught unprepared. Can you tell when you are ovulating (I can tell because of breast swelling, increased discharge and feeling horny). If you can identify ovulation, you can expect your period about 2 weeks later. The variable time is the number of days between start of your period and ovulation.

Don't worry about it. If you have had a baby then likely your reproductive organs are fine.

Well girl welcome to mommyhood!! After my first child I had a slightly irregular period and the Dr said to go on BC to regulate it and of course not get pregnant again right away. Then when i had my second child my period was way worse! sometimes it would go three months before i got my period! I didn't mind though :) I don't think there is anything to worry about your reproductive system, it obvious you can have babies so don't sweat it! But be careful with unprotected sex because you can still get pregnant when you don't have your period. it its late you should still be careful if you don't want another child. My third was conceived even though i wasn't having my period that month! hope this helps!
