I think 5th seed is very feasible. Mavericks, Suns, SPurs already got top 3. 4th would be either Nuggets or Jazz. And 5th is Warriors. THe Hornets might be battling for that spot later in the season though,

why not they have the peices to do so they will be able to be in any 5 6 7 8 seed
look they have beaten houston jazz mavs and suns all ready this season
the warrior are in a hot streak now beating very good teams ala lakers
the fast pace of the warriors are even faster than the suns
they might be able to be in a top 4 seeds if this streak continue through out the season

If they stay healthy and continue to play well, I see them getting in the playoffs as the 8th or 7th seed.
