That is a great question and observation and I am going to go with yes. If they believe in God, and that is a big IF.

Liberal does not equate to athiest. I'm a modern man, so I believe the Bible was written by men inspired by their faith. I'm sure the Bible is fairly factual in general...but the intent of the Bible is to codify the beliefs of a faith, not place it above an indiuvidual's faith itself...it exists to teach....preaching to a believer is really sort of foolish, so a person should find his own answers and faith for himself and not expect the Bible to give it to him or look to another human being for the answers without any search for himself....only a fool would accept something abouty the meaning of life on the word of another person....I believe in God (God probably means something different for everyone...a thing, a Man-like god, or a force of nature) and I love this planet and want to protect wild places and....Have you ever read the Bible?

If the Christian Conservatives would read the Bible, they should have no arguments getting on board with Al Gore's message.

Would Republicans actually believe in "loving thy neighbor" or "blessed are the peace makers" if Rush Limbaugh said it instead of it being in the Bible?

I believe in the Bible. I think it is an excellent set of myths for teaching morals to children.
But it isn't something to use as law to impose your beliefs on others. When you people learn that simple little fact, the other fanatics will denounce you as liberal.

I believe that all christians follow a book that has been mis-translated from Aramaic to Hebrew to Latin to other languages. To examples of the actual translations from Aramaic:
Thou shalt not murder (not kill).
We were created in their image (not his).

the problem with (many, but not all) liberals is they think for themselves, they actually listen to different groups before forming opinions
I realize 'reality', and 'the truth' are difficult for conservatives to accept, so your question makes perfect sense to me
because the bible has nothing to do with the truth, its about faith ... and faith is about believing what can't be proved
