He's the only candidate for the Fair Tax. He is honest....he really is convicted to what he says and what he believes. he did a good job in Arkansas (I lived there when he was gov.) I'd vote for him!

For Jessica - When Huckabee raised taxes in Arkansas, it was needed. I NEVER support increases in taxes, but this was as exception. The Federal government mandated that ALL of Arkansas public schools needed to be overhauled at the expense of the state. So he had no choice. The other "tax hike" was for roads. Arkansas had the WORST roads in the country. They are still pretty bad by most standards, but they are much better than before. So, the "tax hikes" were not frivolous by any means.

He comes from the same ilk as President Bush, the evangelicals. If you want 4 more years of Christian-biased "intelligence", go for it. Frankly I'd rather someone with a brain get in there. I do have to say Huckabee is a better speaker than Bush but it all comes out the same

He wasn't a good governor, so why would anyone expect for him to be a good president??

He raised taxes, he rewarded illegals and their children, he developed an intrusive system of reporting all school children and their bmi, he was soft on crime (who pardons over 1000 people especially when 12 were MURDERERS?!?!) and he was spiteful when he left office (used all of the emergency funds on nonemergency items so the next governor had nothing to spend on emergency situations, floods, tornadoes, etc) and had over 80 hard drives on state computers destroyed. If he didn't want to risk the information on the hard drives becoming available to his opponents he should have bought some hammers to use for destroying them, but instead spend thousands of tax dollars to hire a firm to destroy them. He is a liar and I don't trust him for a minute. He duped me into voting for him for governor, but he won't be get my vote for president.
He lies and divides people.
He had excuses for ONE of the taxes he raised. If it was so necessary, why was the democrat governor who replaced him about to CUT taxes immediately??
I like the idea of the FAir Tax. But, I see nothing about huckabee and his past to make me think that he is doing anything more than just lip service to the fair tax in order to get a few votes. If he really liked the idea of getting rid of income tax, why didn't he work toward getting rid of the AR income tax? A lof of states don't have the income tax, why didn't huckabee do anything to get rid of ours? I see this as an 11th hour "conversion" just like the tough immigration bill that he has suddenly come up with, after months of being supportive of illegals. In fact it was just a few weeks ago that he was still defensive and proud of his openly soft stance on illegal immigration.
He hasn't been a success at anything, except losing weight. We need someone with accomplishments, experience and ethics, we DON'T need huckabee.

Huckabee has lots of bad Judgement. From his destroying the network data from when he was governor, to letting out a rapist who the churches and the wing nuts wanted free. And when confronted by these bad judgements he tries to spin, weasel, and out right lie his way out of it. Also his history of accepting gifts and looking unethical (I believe it wasn't but it sure looked it) not only is another sign of Bad Judgement I think the democrats could very easily paint him as more of the "heck of a job" mentality that even republicans hate in President Bush

While he was forced to raise taxes He also told democrats he wasn't opposed to them. Take another Republican Governor Frank Keating: he got Tax cuts through a democrat legislature. It shows he doesn't have an ability to push through what matters to his supporters or worse it doesn't matter to him.

His embracing people on immigration he once called Rascist Demagouges bothers me. His hiring a campaign chair who ALLEGEDLY bribed priests to have them not preach to vote against his guy bothers me. And his attacking Mitt on his religion bothers me

And then there are his policy ideas

Personally I don't care for him. Huckabee has a record of tax hikes (an estimated half a billion dollars) and favoring amnesty for illegal immigrants (including supporting a measure giving them drivers licenses).. he was already under investigation for ethics violations.. and his pardoning of a rapist is coming back to haunt him. In a prior debate he stated that he would enter a war with Iran without the consent of Congress and if elected he will raise taxes and sink the US into more debt..

Being from Arkansas I've seen first hand his failure to provide good leadership. From freeing hard-core criminals from Arkansas prisons (he said "overcrowding" was the issue); to tax hikes, to his lack of compassion for the less fortunate, I don't trust him. Remember - he said Bush was doing a good job. A Baptist minister as president, who believes aids patients should be isolated? I think not.

There is little chance of him winning. He is not the best candidate that the Republicans can offer.

Not sure, it doesn't really matter though,. This fascist regime will elect who ever will carry on with their Global plans, and the enslavement of the rest of us. I am going to vote for Ron Paul, but they will never allow a man of integrity, honor, who wishes to give this country back to the people. They will kill him, before they allow him to be President.

He looks too goofy. Why can't we get a guy that looks strong, stern, and mean? More like a Leader?
