I think something along those lines, unless I misremember because I've heard other people say that and it's a stereotypically mom thing to say. "You're lucky to have spinach quiche for dinner. Not all kids in the world have good food to eat."

Mm, now I'm hungry for spinach quiche.

Not that I can recall.

I don't tell my children that either--well maybe I have.
I am sure I have probably said it to my oldest daughter when I want her to try something I know she would not like-she is a picky eater, my other two, will try anything once.

Everyday. My Grandmother does that, thinking she'll guilt trip me into eating. But this is after I've eaten more than my father, yet she tries to force one more serving into me. I'm sorry, but I have a maximum capacity too.

I can't remember, but I sure tell my kids about the children across the world who don't even have clean water to drink!
