I have been reading a lot of yahoo 360 pages and there seems to be an overwhelming number of men willing to submit to a woman's dominance. Now, granted, the sexual aspect is usually 99% of that willingness, I'm sure; but, I get the distinct impression that there is more to it. Anyone want to school me?

There are different reasons for different men as referenced by many of the answers to this question so far. Also I think if I man is in a position of control in his work life . It can be stressful and submitting to a woman is a way of getting rid of this stress. Giving up control is like take a weight off for some people.

Sado-machocism maybe? They like the Dominatrics type? OR..they have a sense of relief that just because theyir penis-clad, they don't have to be so alpha. My dad made ALL the decisions in our house..vey Air Forcish. My mom always appeared the submissive timid mouse type. He made the rules and bent them, with never so much as a peep from mom. I, on the otherhand like being alpha sometimes. My husband is a big man, but loves the fact he can "look" intimidating to the world. He's like the male lion and I'm the lioness. He's the pitbull, tempermental only when the need arises. I'm the chichiuaua, unassuming perhaps, but definitely more apt to bite your ankles!!

In my experience, men who like to be dominated by a woman in a relationship (not just sexual) want to feel that they are taken care of by a maternal figure. They need a mother, not a girlfriend/wife. Nothing wrong with it...there are women who like that kind of structure...and good for both of them when they meet.

Some men believe that it's women's turn to be in charge in areas outside the bedroom. They're willing to take a backseat to newly powerful women. They expect that they won't have much of a choice in coming years, since women are becoming more independent and ambitious than men.

Well, we should be dominant. :) We are far more responsible than ya'll, and ya know it! We DO pay the bills for ya'll after you provide the money. We manage the bank accounts, credit cards, etc. We are also far more ambitious and anxious about succeeding.
