I dont understand, all the draft "experts" are ranking him as the top quaterback in the draft this year. What is so good about him, i think hell be a big draft bust? Being a falcons fan im concerned with the leaving of petrino that they wont pick brohm theyll pick this loser.

Brohm is more accurate, quicker release, more durable, and has a better arm so tell me what is the advantage of picking Ryan over Brohm.

If the falcons dont pick brohm ill be really angry.

Can someone tell me why everyone thinks matt ryan will be a good pro?

geoff g nice point with the falcons getting a lot of high draft picks for future years.

I Matt Ryan threw a TON of interceptions this year and he was in COLLEGE. what in gods name makes draft scouts think hell do better in the pros.

I agree that Brohm is a better QB he just wasn't in the spotlight as much this year because Louisville just didn't play well.

Matt Ryan is a great QB too, he is a very smart pocket passer, however, I would agree with you I don't think he ia a Top 10 pick.

Don't be suprised if the Falcons don't draft a QB and try to make a trade for a more experienced QB like McNabb.

I read one mock draft that said it's because Ryan was taller than Brohm...by AN INCH!! Ryan is 6'5 and Brohm is 6'4. Brohm outweighs Ryan by 20 lbs and has better pocket presence. I agree, though, the Falcons may pass just because of the kids ties to Petrino.

I'm a Falcons fan too and i prefer Brohm too. Brohm has been getting it done for 4 years at Louisville and know one knows this because Louisville's Defense was crap and they didn't win a lot of games. Matt Ryan is very overrated IMO.

I'm worried too... They might not pick Brohm BECAUSE of Petrino, just to prove a point. Look at the bright side, if we pick Ryan, we'll get high draft picks for years to come.

At least Brohm won't be on the sidelines puking like Ryan did.

There are no similarities between the two. Leaf was much more over-hyped than Ryan. Many people said Leaf was better than Manning! There is no QB in this draft that is even close to that level. Ryan will not turn out to be the total flake that Leaf was.

The falcons might trade for a veteran QB

Options
1-Sage Rosenfels
2-David Carr
3-Brad Johnson
4-Kelly Holcomb
5-Quinn Gray
6-Brady Quinn
7-Daunte Culpepper
8-Josh Mccown
9-Gus Ferrote
10-Damon Huard
11-Rex Grossman
12-Chad penningtion
13-A.J. Feely
14-Donovan mcnab (if he loses his job)
15-Luke Mccown

are just some options they could trade for and the use their draft picks on O-Line,Defense,maybe a new WR

Because the Big East is more of a basketball conference, so Brohm gets overlooked...Not saying the ACC isn't...but they get coverage in football because of Miami, Florida State, and BC...

He put up good numbers against some crappy defenses, and then pulled off that horrible, horrible miracle against VT. Other than that, though, the rest of his season was pretty unspectacular. Matt Ryan is pretty much overrated, but he is still a good QB. Probably only the 4th or 5th best.
