I know it's not the most original question but I wanted to ask it anyway.

...a Christmas tradition in my family: at the stroke of midnight, Christmas Day, we would open one-and-only-one present, and after the present, we would light a fire in the fireplace, pour some eggnog, turn out all the lights in the living room, and watch the 1951 version of "A Christmas Carol", starring Alistar Sim as Scrooge...

...this is a particular favorite, and very moving version of Charles Dicken's classic story; it starts out quite pitch-black dark, gradually becoming very moving and emotional, and culmunates in becoming quite whimsical and humourous, by the end of the film...

...of course, now that I'm older, the tradition still lives...except now, I mix (more than) a little brandy with the eggnog...

The Polar Express: The imagery was so beautiful and the music was enchanted. It was just so visually, mind-blowing & gorgeous and the nightlife setting was perfect. The look of the North Pole was especially handsome and concept was creative and magical. It was a very unforgettable and haunting experience.
