oh, god, me either. my parents screwed me up, and i certainly to don't want to do that to another human being unintentionally.

I've been going back and forth on this issue for several years...I'd say, if I'm going to do it, it will be in the next 5 years, anything after that I don't know if I could handle energy-wise...I have a lot of love and compassion to share, I worry about not having a lot of the day-to-day skills, but from what I've heard from most parents...that's part of the learning curve. I'm open to the idea of adoption, or even fostering a child/and/or a gay teen or other at-risk youth.

Well I am 32 and my wife is 34 and she wants a kid now!! I grew up not poor but we didnt have much and right now we have a house payment that is killing us along with other bills and i just cant see having a child when i cant give them every thing i want. I know that shouldnt be my focus but having a child is expensive and god forbid some thing happens, and no money..what do u do then?

I do not want kids. I want to spend all my time with my lover (when I get one). Also, I don't want to spend my hard earned money on diapers and clothes and stuff, nor would I want to put the kid through hell by having "two daddies".
I don't have the strength to deal with the ridicule the poor child would face.

wait, do you mean when are u supposed to start wanting one or when do i actually want to conceive one?
I started longing to be a mother the day I babysat my cousin for the first time then it just kinda had a tug on me.... I'm good with kids and i want one ,but i'm not going to have one until a while after i marry "prince charming" usually guys aren't near as interested in having kids as women are ,but knowing from all the stuff i put (not purposely) on my parents and babysitting mean (i mean it downright mean) children that say
"i hate you"
or boss you around like they're in charge....Don't have one unless you really desire for one seriously

yeah, neither do I! It seems like they would be to much work, (and a lot of money!), plus i don't really ever plan on geting married, im sure there would be some cool parts to having kids but i certianly don't want to!

I've been pregnant three times at the age of 12 and all of my pregnancies ended in a miscarriage. So, I don't know.
