When upgrading Processor or Ram sticks?

when i put in my new pieces, do i have to do anything besides just puttin them into my computer? or do i have to do somethin in bios or somethin?

Hi. Your default BIOS should be set to 'Auto detect' the CPU speed. RAM will run at the speed of the slowest stick.

You may have to upgrade your system bios to handle the new hardware. If the processor and motherboard aren't for the same generation it won't work though.
