Life has not been kind lately. I have run into several financial difficulties and had to move back home. My entire life is in my storage facililty and is due to be auctioned off. I have tried to plead with them to give me more time as no one can let me borrow the money due to the holiday season. Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

You are at the mercy of the management of the storage facility. They understandably want their money AND a vacated unit which they can rent for money.

Sad to say, these folks aren't charities. They are there to make a profit, and you are standing in the way of them doing so.

Good luck.

If it is an auction by court order, offer to pay it off by a small amount ie £10 per month, they have to accept or at least they used to. Other wise take it out of there and take it somewhere else, it is just a matter of playing for time, that can last years.

I assume they have it locked, or legally seized, so you can't just move it.

Contrary to what one responder said, they are NOT required to accept a partial payment, so you can only stop the auction by paying them in full.

Good luck. Sorry I don't have better answers for you.
