Honey, secreted from flowers are vegetarian, when it is collected and mixed with insect saliva it becomes non vegetaian and it is stored in a non vegetarian containers bee hives before it is extracted by killing so many bees and the process ultimately gives us vegetarian honey.

What an invention ? All available resources are for human beings. Why feel guilty if you kill some animals for food. Do not forget, you kill more than thousand insects, rats, snakes etc before you get a kilo of rice or wheat.

Vegetarians never had any idea of agriculture and farming. The insecticide used for protecting the crops kill millions lives of insects. While ploughing crores of earthworms get cut into pieces. At home we kill thousands of mosquitoes, cockroaches and spiders.

No one can live without killing any life. Ignorance can kill you one day.

Honey is most probably to be vegetarian. It is made in flowers and taken by bees. According to me all types of honey is vegetarian[The natural honey and the honey that is processed in laboratories to remove the impurities]. It cannot by any means be non veg. We think it is non veg because the bees use it but it is more likely to be veg.

Honey is fine for vegetarians, as it's not made out of an animal.

However for vegans, who also avoid animal produce such as milk and eggs, it's more controversial.

See the site http://www.compassionatespirit.com/is-honey-vegan.htm for arguments on both sides.
