Put it this way, the U.S.A. used to be a great country and some of us are hoping it can become a great country once again, once the Spoilers are gone.
It will take time and a lot of money has to be repaid, but hopefully, we can regain the respect we used have and the decency that was the backbone of this land.
At first, it will be a time of indictments, as these rotten people are brought to justice. Many indictments are already in place and many investigations are being made, so we can look forward to many documents revealing truth and many people, released from fear of retaliation, stepping forward to talk about it all.
It would be only just if Bush and Cheney both were hauled before an International Court and charges made that the American people have just not had the guts to make. We had a moral obligation to impeach these liars, lest other presidents feel they can flaunt the laws of both the country and God, but so far, it hasn't been done. There is still fear of retaliation in this country, what with Bush trying to pass his Homeland Terrorist Act, another abomination.
Hopefully, a new President will lead us through this crisis and we will become America, the Beautiful again!

Every country goes through stages. When a country is new people are idealistic and dedicated, then comes a stage of decay and decline and cynicism. Thats where the US is now. It is run by wealthy Texas parasites who mouth empty praise for God and self righteous holier than thou morality while looting the country. Science is dead in America, supplanted by fake religion. Ultimately its the peoples fault for being so shallow and stupid. They don't give a **** if the attorney general (Gonzalez) the man charged with enforcing the Constitution, considers it "quaint". They feel secure having the gvt. have the right to disappear them and torture them. Why did anybody waste their time giving the US the greatest Constitution in the history of the world? Why did anybody bother defending it in World War One and World War Two, when the people obviously do not give a **** about their freedom.

1.) We don't pay tribute to a useless monarchy
2.) Like us or not, everyone seems to turn to the US in time of need and you receive even though we know you "hate" us. That is an American characteristic.
3.) There is a reason that people are literally dying to get into the US, and it's not because it sucks.
4.) In the US the "homeless" have it better than the "housed" in other nations (when is the last time you heard of someone starving to death in the US?)
5.) It's a young nation still in formation, if we encounter setbacks there is no reason we won't overcome them in the future and emerge stronger.

What do Americans feel patriotic about besides war? Imposing sanctions against other countries and staging "color revolutions" there. What is the big deal about the USA? I don't know. But I guess some Israelis & others-who care only about what happenes in Israel-would say that the "big deal" about the USA is that it is "good for Israel"...

Most of us do say and believe we live in the best country on the planet. We are in debt, we are scorned by many, which sucks, and a major reason for our debt is explained below by popular Canadian journalist Gordon Sinclair, he gave voice to a sentiment shared by millions around the world today. God Bless America.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.
"Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.
"When the franc was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it. When distant cities are hit by earthquakes, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped.
"The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans. I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States Dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tristar, or the Douglas 10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American planes?
"Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon — not once, but several times — and safely home again. With Their Flag High.
"You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.
"When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the American who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.
"I can name you 5,000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.
"Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damn tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."

1.Home. 2. "Choice", I can agree or disagree without fear. I or we don't have to agree with current politics to be American. Patriotism is allowing others to choose at will.
