What monarchy are you referring to?Brunei,
Saudi Arabia, some of the sheikdoms? The less
said about them the better.Others like the UK
for example are actually democracies, the monarchs being mere figureheads meant to
preside over State functions and to meet with
heads of state of other countries when they come visiting. In India too there were monarchs and pocket maharajahs who used to control the destinies of their subjects. Some were
benign while others were despots. But in the present scenario, one is obliged to choose between Scylla and Charybdis. This is because
today's politician is an arrogant autocrat bent on
self aggrandizement, securing pelf and power,is
a hedonist and an opportunist to the core.
Service to the masses who elected him is the last thing on his mind.I don't say that all are of
the same mold.We do have some selfless
individuals too.But---.Now ,with the above background, you tell me whether a republic is
more beneficial than a monarchy.Do you get the feeling that it is as if you have only a Hobson's choice?

I just want to say "God Save The Queen"- lol.
Okay, let us rethink this. The USA has been a lot (I mean A LOT) more stable over all these years than any monarchy or republic for that matter. We've lasted through it all, and you say we're not doing so good...? I think we're doing pretty well for ourselves. Become an optimist.

it would make no distinction in case you purely replaced the Queen with an Irish-sort president whose purely function is to cut back ribbons and host activities. as an occasion, you ought to rename Queen Elizabeth II and make contact with her President Elizabeth Windsor and provide her 2 six year words. Then the rustic could be a Republic yet actual no longer something could be diverse aside from a call and her successor (besides the reality that a presidency can be hereditary like it develop into interior the previous Dutch Republic).
