It's very sad to see some of these bitter remarks. I guess happiness is an emotion well earned.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I use both. If it's someone I don't know or it's a mixed audience, I use Happy Holidays as a gesture of respect. Most of the people I work with are Hindu or Muslim. Friends and family, I say Merry Christmas. People taking umbrage at the latest "political correctness" are exaggerating the situation. I just find the gesture to be courteous and considerate. If someone said "Happy Hanukkah" to me, it would seem a little strange.

Hey Mr/rs thumbs dowm: MERRY CHRISTMAS JACKA$$

Dont bring Jesus into it. The true history of the celebration of Christmas clebrates the Saint ,Nicholas. It was later adapted to celebrate the birth of Jesus (who was born in the spring)

If a person is clearly celebrating Christmas, use MC. Other than that HH is OK.... or "Have a nice Christmas Day". I say MC to my Jewish and Hindu friends and they wish me a Happy Hanukkah or Diwali
