I simply cannot stand it when Republicans talk about how this war is a neccesary conflict for the U.S. I meam seriously who actually thinks the terrorists would be attacking here. Wasn't an attack Iraq simply what the terrorists wanted? So why do we not leave and these people their country back?

...."I meam seriously who actually thinks the terrorists would be attacking here. ....".....

Dude, remeber 9/11? The terrorists have been here. Hear of the Shoebomber? He was just sentenced last week. And others have been tried and sentenced for plotting against Americans on this soil. If Americans leave Iraq, that entire area willbe a haven for training more terrorists. And Syria and Iran will have a much easier job of selling arms to the terrorists. And... the USA has always said it will leave Iraq when the Iraqis ask. But, they have not asked.

No sensible person would expect terrorist attacks in the US.
Unless you recognize that, for better or worse, history doesn't stand still. You know there were two attacks on the WTC; people were so complacent that they let the first one slide.
Since 9/11, we know of several terrorist attacks on the US that have been foiled. No doubt there are others that didn't get that far.
This new historical development will have to develop and (I hope) be defeated. It will take years. And Iraq is only a small part of it.

An attack on Iraq was not what the Iraqi's wanted, but rather what the Bush government planned and executed in order to have free and easy access to the country and its oil reserves. What has the administration actually done since invasion to improve the lives of ordinary Iraqis? We do know that It had concentrated its efforts on guarding the oil reserves and offering contracts to American companies on sole management and control of Iraqi oil.

um well in my opinion either way it goes this war is a lose lose situation ya know? because if we leave iraq is gonna be like o the us are a bunch of "p words" and if we dont then our innocent men and women who are fighting for their country just continue to lose their lives for almost no reason. i know a lot of ppl think we should leave but i kina agree with bush that we reallly cant right now. i dont think we should be over there trying to help these ppl because they CLEARLY dont want our help but we cant leave yet because what happened on 9/11 is most likely gonna happen again.

Because its what that dyslexic megalomaniac george bush wants. He would be mixing up orders if he worked at maccas.

Thats what happens when you let someone who cant even string a sentence together run the most powerful nation on earth.

Anyone remember hitler? Yep there have been some pretty sc rewed world leaders thats for sure!

911? Iraq? Wasn't it suppose to be Afghanistan?
The WAR is a NECESSARY conflict for the U.S. arms industry and the military(keeps men employed). The military is one big employer....paid for by the taxpayer and their pocketbooks thru taxation.

Its all because of Bush. Bush bombed their buildings and now is using our money 2 help rebuild schools there. When Clinton was president, we actually had money leftover but, because of Bush, America will be almost trillions of dollars in debt. Why would anybody elect this fool. Going to Harvard doesn't qualify you to be smart. Since his dad gave them a huge donation, they couldn't reject or fail him

Well, no, the invasion and occupation of Iraq wasn't wanted by anyone but BushCo, and those profitting from it [ Haliburton ].

We're still there because Bush is physiologically incapable of admiting when he's wrong, and wants to stick it to whichever Democrat is left with HIS mess after he's back in Crawford, drinking himself to death.
