my friend asked to accompny him as he is going to purchase a gold chain for him. The man in the shop showed several kinds of chain and said it is purely 24 ct gold. Further he said some letter ktm gold. i can't understand.. i asked him to show 20 ct gold chain and 22 ct gold chain. He says only 24 ct gold chain is available not only here in shops also. he stressed it is ktm..gold. will anyone explain about the gold?

I won't go with 24 Ct Cold. Because 24 CT is 100% pure and very brittle. You cannot any jewellary out of it. So most of the jewellery are 22% or less.

KDM means there it is a proof that it is good gold. Verified by KDM ( organization that verifies gold).

24 CT is not used in jewlery. It's too soft and will wear away.
I even doubt that you will find 22 CT. The price.
Most jewlery is 18 down to 10 CT.
No idea what ktm is.

i would be carefull. How much is it an ounce?
Are you sure it's not 24 ct gold PLATED?
