In my opinion, because it's Christmas and they think it is a funny way to get 'back' at us for being older and wiser than they are. We are smart and they are stupid and want us to know that they are also mean and stupid. Otherwise they would be learning interesting things and having fun doing it too. Instead, they probably were banned from using their cell phones by their parents for making thousands of dollars of phone calls to their friends next door and decided to take it out on people who are older than they are. You know the old saying stupid is as stupid does. Well they have no ideas, or originial ideas about anything other than spewing abuse because that is the same types of games they play on their free game systems that some one else bought them. I can't wait until they have to work for themselves to survive. When they are on the street starving I will be sitting in my nice warm apartment laughing. They have no idea what the phrase you reap what you sow means either. Just getting this off my chest. When we were kids and did something bad we were little brats. Today when these kids do something like this they are little bast*rds. In my opinion only.

slk, I would like to shed some light on this phenomenon that perhaps no one has taken into consideration. We are being invaded for all the reasons above, as some perceive seniors to be an easy target. That certainly figures into the equation. Abuse, however, is rampant throughout the site. Some of this abuse may be attributed to those who have had their accounts suspended and their voices silenced, simply because some well-intentioned user reported them for too many posts that violated community guidelines. Many of times, these violations are frivolous in nature, but there are users who report them because the user who posted "should have read the rules". I have a theory that many disgruntled users who have had their accounts closed come back with a new account as a troll. There is no "tangible" evidence of my theory, but it would certainly explain the increase in severity and frequency of these attacks, as those who feel they have been unjustly punished lash out, blindly firing vollies of hate and discontent. As other have said, you always have the option of reporting these flagrant transgressions against you.
Best wishes.

It would seem that the "best" yahoo has to offer has found the Senior's site at last, it is just starting, this site, like the others here, is going down hill in a basket. Sorry to say it is no longer an enjoyable place...When Seniors ask a question, they are bombarded with idiot answers from age groups that haven't a clue as to what life is. The final straw for me was when an "intelligent" person offered someone who was asking how to make it through the month with x$, the answerer spouted "you should have planned for your retirement, blah, blah, blah....now that was some help, wasn't it? This has become another point gathering spot for idiots who think points mean something...alas, it has had its day. Phil

Hi Silky! I didn't see the one tha was mean to you, but don't you let that bother you. I love ya Darlink!
Having been a teacher of students with behavior disorders I have seen a lot!! The best way to get rid of them is totally ignore them. They are just looking for negative attention.
Happy Day! xoxo

Well Silk, I think for the most part, we were invaded by one troubled Iowan with multiple personalities. Funny how the questions from the "many" askers almost all came one after another. Unfortuantely, I'm afraid that after one too many beers sitting in a darkened room in front of his computer screen, he'll be back.

because they are mean spiteful people -
what EVERYBODY and I do mean EVERYBODY needs to do is just NOT answer their questions - we have been together too long to let some twerp tear us apart
just totally IGNORE their questions or better yet, do as Phil has always taught us - report then block -- these questions could be taken as threats, insulting other members - lots of reasons to report - violate many of the community guidelines
so we need to do what we gotta do - either totally ignore and don't answer at all or report and block

I've noticed that too. Do you think it's because so many schools are closed down due to bad weather? Or are they older mentally ill people? I worry that some of them are so deranged that they might become violent towards people in their community. I wonder if they should be reported to the people who run Yahoo, and perhaps to their local police departments. That much hate would not be spewed by a sane person.
P.S. Yee Haw to Wally!

You have the right (and ability) to report either a question or a responder who posts something inflammatory, insulting, threatening, or containing adult content et al. All it takes are two anonymous 'reports' and poof - it's gone.
