does that mean i can take it with any liquid or does it have to be water?

What the pill is shaped like does not have anything to do with it, but he obviously wants you to take it with alot of liquid. Depending on what it is, any liquid should be fine. However there are some meds that you cant take with grapefruit or other juices, its best just to take it with a big glass of water. Don't make it more difficult than it has to be.

any liquid would be ok, but i wouldnot take it with soda because sometimes the acid in sodas destroy the capsule
