I heard it's corn starch or sodium bicarbonate which is it?

The dead sea is known for it's gravity defying capabilities. Corn starch thickens. Hope this helps. Wikipedia has some awesome info.

when you add salt , the density of the soltion is higher than pure water. To walk on it seems me impossible. But you can lay without moving on concentrated solutions of salt

It could even be flour, salt or sugar, it depends on how much you put in compared to the quantity of the water... !
