Lead a sheltered life until I was about 16 or 17 and then joined the army. But for me the best experience ever had was seeing a woman of 42 when I was 18 now that was an experience and a half and taught me to slow down and not rush into things ha ha .
Story of my life that !!

You are not going to believe this but...
I was around 10 yrs. old and I was at a friends house looking at National Geographic Magazine. There was a section of very graphic pictures of the birth of a baby monkey. I was a bit confused as to where the monkey was exiting!
Going home, I questioned my mother about it. You would've thought I dropped a bomb; she said nothing and ran around closing all the windows and doors (it was summer and had to be in the 90's!), Finally, she came back to me and had a little booklet in her hand, I can't remember the name, but it's a book many little girls have seen. Explains the whole shabang!
I remember feeling that something important happened that day.

I think I was 13 when I found out more "specifics" from a school friend as we walked to school. I was shocked and thought 'no way ' did my mom do that! Of course this was a different era (1972). I think kids learn at age 6 today!

I learned from school and my mom. There was a program in school that every 4th and 5th grader had to go to called Family Life. I was 10.

Partly by reading Judy Blume books in 6th grade, more in 10th grade health class. Things were just different back in that day.
