I think it is true, otherwise how is it gonna be official? Like I can say that I love pudding, but if I actually never ate it how can I say I love it? Or like sports fans who say they like a certain team(like the Raiders) and have never actually seen a game, you can't call that person a fan. The same concept applies to it. You may never know if that person is metrosexual and just putting up a front.
