Pure democracy, as our Founding Fathers knew and feared, is a very poor form of government. Democracy is 3 tigers and a goat voting on what's for dinner. Slavery was OK under a democracy, and the majority opinion has been wrong time after time. It has been said once the electorate understands they can vote to take money from those who earn it, and through legislation, give it to those who do not, that government is doomed. That is why we have a representative republic form of government. Describing ourselves as a "Democracy" didn't start until late in the 20th century. Unfortunately, we are moving closer and closer to a liberal, socialist society.

No. Again you create a mere legal corporate entity that envelops the constitution of each state hindering the law's of said state only to replace it with that which is merely "pursuant to it's laws". Thus this creates an area that puts only certain individuals "above the law". Everyone else has to comply. Quit feeding their control and power over the people. Restore the Republic. By creating Direct DEMOCRACIES in each individual state. You are creating a COLLECTIVE that falls directly in line with that of a CENTRALIZED FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. In other words, DO YOU REALLY WANT SOCIALISM?

YES it can put the power of rule & control in the hands of the legal citizen majority! Putting a stop/end to the few who take advantage of the majority NOW! Switzerland has a great form of this working very well. http://www.grinningplanet.com/2004/11-11/direct-democracy-plutocracy-article.htm! The people who are against it want the few to have all the advantages & keep on screwing the majority! The wealthy's biggest fear is bring back majority rule that was used to build this country in town square meeting!
