some time ago i found something in my teenage son's room, when i was cleaning it up....a photo of me. he had obviousely taken sectretly while i was changing in my room and the door was a little open. it showed me from behind, bending over, in only a thong (and a t-shirt), and recently i even found one of my own (worn!) thongs besides his bed. i know he has lots of pictures on his PC, mainly of women's behinds in thongs. he obviously has a thong-fetish. but with all the pics from the internet, why does he get turned on by MY butt? is his brain turning off, as soon as he sees a woman in a thong?
i know that teenage boys can be very much influenced and controlled by their hormones. so i decided that i won’t talk to him about it, cause that would embarrass him too much and be just terrible for him.

The picture your son took of you (in a teenage fantasy way) is more realistic. Why? because he seen it with his own eyes! Your butt may have been the only one he's seen as of yet!
The worn thong merely represents the scent of a woman. All he's is doing is whipping it to a picture and a scent. It's not necessarily you that he is picturing in his thoughts. Call it...handy tools

Your decision not to talk to your son about this, I feel, was well thought out. This is a phase most all teenage boys go through.
A suggestion: Have a male friend of yours take your son to a Hooters restaurant a couple of times. Let your son enjoy the view, Oh, I mean the service!! That's the closest thing I can think of that a teenage boy can view, that he can fantasize about.
Remembering back, I did sort of the same thing in my teenage years! It wasn't mom, but close.

First of all, remember that YOU were the first person to show him affection and love. So, his attraction to you isn't that unexplainable. I think expressing to him that he will get plenty of chances to gaze upon beautiful women that would be more interested in him "that way" than you would be. Most young boys confuse love and lust in their minds...hence, why men tend to be considered "pigs". The male arousal is so intense that it's easy to think that it's the same as love.
Secondly, I think most of his actions are quite exploratory; he's simply acting on impulse and it's not necesarily your butt he's attracted to, but rather women's butts and thongs in general.
There's nothing wrong with talking to him; do it lovingly, but express how uncomfortable you are with what he did. Being a peeping tom is undoubtedly wrong and you need to express to him that there's nothing wrong with being interested in women. It's completely natural, but express that if he ever wants to impress a woman then he needs to be open and not be sneaky about his desires. Tell him that taking pictures without someone's permission is a form of invading someone's privacy.
I'd say be open, understanding and honest, express certain boundaries and limits to behaviors.

It sounds like to me he is your usual oversexed teen. It's not just your butt, but any butt in a thong at this age. I used to look at my sister's butt at that age. His hormones are in full swing, but I wouldn't hesitate to sit him down and ask him about the picture and thong in his room. He might not just have a thong fetish. He might have a mom fetish and that could turn into something you really don't need to happen.

Freudians say that a boy's mother is the not only the first women they are attached to, but also the most dominant and nfluencial. The response to this is that boys are jealous of their father and want to be with their mother. While killing their father is an extreme response, being able to masturbate to his mother would be an acceptable substitute. i don't know? is he a young teen? if so than i would ignore it and make sure my door stays shut. if he is a older teen then i might question it seriously. can you see your face in the picture? if not maybe he imagines it is some one else. if there are sisters around i would really be watchful. sounds like his hormones are in over drive
