Spontenaity is part of the joy of sex!
And let me tell you, once you have kids, you take it whenever you can get it! Say if you scheduled a "Date Night" and were going to do it once the kids were asleep that would be the night one of them had a nightmare and want to sleep with mommy and daddy or there'd be a monster under the bed or someone would end up with the stomach flu!
If there aren't kids, it would be okay to schedule a "sex night". You could get a whole romantic set-up going (candles, chocolate, etc) but it shouldn't be every times. Being surprised adds to the excitement of sex!

There have been times in our marriage where the way our schedule feel, we would end up with time, and passion on the same night of the week every week. But it wasn't the only time we had "relations" in a week, it would just end up that on Thursday nights we did. So semi scheduled worked out good for us.

I know of some couples that actually do have scheduled days. However majority I know are spontaneous like my wife and I.

spontaneous.... do you really think married couples have a schedule... how good would that be if you were on a "schedule"

It doesn't sound fun to have a scheduled day, and sex is supposed to be one of the funnest things around!

its both I would say. I know with my wife and i. we reserve the weekend as we both work weekdays (I work daylight and she works second shift) and then its after our son goes to bed and is sound asleep. as we dont need him walking in and saying daddy why are you hurting mommy lol.
so it depends on the couples situation and what works for them.

I would never have an "appoinment" for sex. U do it when in the mood.
Imagine it, "honey I'm horny today lets do it."
he says, "No dear its Monday and sex day isn't until Wednesday"
Nope sry wouldn't work for me.
