Do you feel that it is unattractive for a woman to wear a pair of her husband's boxer shorts around the house?

My husband seems to think so. I have never worn a pair of his boxer shorts ... until today. It was an old pair that is too small for him. When I walked into our bedroom with them on he freaked out. He kept going on with it and asked me to get out of them because it's "unattractive". I took offense to that because I have seen women wearing boxer shorts around the house (i.e. on movies). I mean I don't see anything wrong with it as long as I am not wearing them under my clothes out of the house, and using them for underwear of my own.

I almost feel as if he was saying "I" personally am unattractive. I do have low self-esteem so maybe this is not as big of a deal as I am making it out to be. But I surely didn't think there was anything wrong about me slipping on his boxers. I guess I have learned my lesson.

Do you see anything wrong with it?

The male boxers have nothing to do with the issue. You need to talk to your husband and finds a more respectfully way to express personal taste. Miscomunication between man and women is so easy. I had have to learn how to speak to my wife and communicate without hurting her feelings. This is not always possible. But when I make a mistake, we have good communications and she tells me that I have hurt her feelings. This allows me explain myself and state my real message.

The fact that you feel unattractive when you husband tells you his personal taste, indicates that there is something deeper. Talk about your feelings. Tell him what you feel. If he things you are blowing things out of proportion... ASK him if he feels attractive to you. Tell him that he needs to remind you periodically.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Wear whatever is comfortable, I say. Since when have our homes become fashion shows? I would be asking him what he would prefer... you to walk around really uncomfortable in lingerie or comfortable in boxer shorts? I know what my husband would say. Comfort is more important. It is nice to dress up in nice knickers for our hubbie's every now and then but if we are just hanging out at home, why the big pressure to be a glamor model?

If my husband said something like that to me I would be incredibly offended and quite possibly I would tell him where he could stick his opinion. You should be able to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable where ever you are and at home why not don the boxers and an old baggy t-shirt or men's shirt, like they do in the movies? Perhaps if you told him you needed to go out and spend a huge chunk of his pay on new undies he might start whistling a different tune!

So to cut an already long answer short, I think there is nothing wrong at all with wearing your husband's boxer's. He probably didn't mean to sound so harsh when telling you he didn't like you wearing them but some men are just awful at communicating. Next time he is wearing something you don't particularly like, let him know in the same way and ask him how he likes being told he looks unattractive!

Good luck finding something comfy to wear if you don't feel you can pop the boxers on again!

Thats funny, I think my wife looks extra sexy in a way wearing my stuff. Boxers, t-shirts or anything else of mine. She of course looks sexy in her stuff as well. Some people are just different I guess. It's up to you if you want to risk problems at home. I don't see anything wrong with it but I am not your husband. He is just a fuddy duddy eh? I don't think that you need to think that he was saying "you" personally are unattractive. He just feels awkward with you in his boxers for some reason. Maybe he would feel better if you would let him wear a pair of your panties eh? hehehe (smile)

I think your husband has different reasons for not wanting you to wear his old underwear. Perhaps he has left skid marks in his boxers before and was grossed out by the idea of you wearing them after that? Don't take it too personally, it probably has more to do with hygine than your attractiveness - but he wouldn't want to admit that.

personally i dont wear boxers but i have bought some so my wife would have them to wear and i think it is sexy for a woman to wear a mans clothes in this case my wife quit wearing the p.j.s i have bought her and now she finds my old t shirts to be more comfortable so i wouldnt call it a shot your self esteem maybe you need to tell him that it makes you feel closer to him when you wear them and you feel sexy in them cause woman have most of the control in a relationship if they just learn how to use it

Nothing wrong with it, but if it is a turnoff for him then I wouldn't wear them. Go to a woman's lingerie store and buy some boxers made for women that are much cuter and sexier than wearing his old ones.

My husband thinks boxers look great on me....I rarely wear them......but when I do I don't think they may me look unattractive and they are quite comfortable....and whats the big deal? You are after all wearing them around the house....

Sorry but I have to disagree with your husband 100%. My wife looks very attractive in my boxers and I happen to believe that all woman do also. Let your husband know how hurtful his comments are and damn it wear his boxers with pride.

I don't see anything wrong with it either BUT it isn't up to us as to what your husband finds a turn on. I would ditch the boxers.

What does he like to see you in? Find something he likes that makes you comfortable and go with it...

I see nothing wrong w/ it, their a pair of shorts. What's the big deal. I'd feel the same way, like it was me personally in them that turned him away.
