Tino Martinez and Lou Gehrig.
Since Tino retired, I really don't have another favorite player. I love stories of Lou Gehrig and I believe he is the greatest Yankee of all time. He's the quiet, non selfish hero whom every every player idolizes.
They are my role models and being a first basemen, I find their fielding to be state of the art.
