It's kind of a religion for them, plus as liberals and socialists they have a natural hate for capitalism and overall freedom. But don't worry, they are really reaching now, their latest claim is that cow farts are going to cause global warming. In 10 years they will switch back to global cooling. Weather patterns have been changing since time began, so who are these people to determine what the optimal temperature should be anyway?

I would like for it to be a myth, but I'm afraid that Man is destroying the eco-systems of the world...fairly irrefutably
Do you believe that the extinctions of animals today is happening and that Man is mostly responsible? Or do you think these extinctions are completely of a natural cause and that Man is mostly unrelated?
If you answer that Man is NOT to blame for extinctions, then your argument about "Man caused Global Warming is a myth" is just the babble from a completely partisan nut.
If you answer that Man is mostly responsible for extinctions, but Global warming is completely natural and Man has nothing to do with it...then your argument is completely illogical...and you are still a Right-Wing partisan nut.
So which is it?
Also, I wish you would put the same skeptism toward Global Warming as toward the conflict in Iraq or any other act by our government....but I sense that, for you, Republicans get a blank check and Democrats are always wrong...

I am neither a liberal nor a socialist, yet I find it curious as to why so many people dismiss these theories of man effecting the global environment.
I personally question the dire predictions of a lot of these theories, but firmly believe man's activity is altering the earth's environment faster the natural systems can correct it.
The CO2 being pumped into the air is like silt that has settled in a quiet pond. If you wade thru a pond, you will stir up the silt and change the pond's environment until natural forces settle that silt again.
All the CO2 we are pumping into the air originally came from the air. Natural forces will eventually return it back to where we found it. But, in the meantime weather will change.
Will it change to the point that mankind can't cope with it?
Who knows. But why take that chance?
Did you ever think that life might be a consciousness of its own? Did you ever think that after so many mass extinctions on the planet that life needed a species capable of preserving life itself?
Even the bible supports this notion. God created man to oversee creation. I think mankind is smart enough to figure out how to exist without mucking up the environment.

All political motives are about votes and power.
Remember, consensus is not science.
Science must involve a disprovable theory.
Man-made global warming is not disprovable, therefore it is not science.
Many people answered your question with name-calling. Name-calling proves nothing. The person asking the question did not name call. The question referred to "liberals AND socialists", so in no way did it imply that all liberals are socialists.
Thumbs down do not prove anything, either.
It is too bad that a person that asks an honest question receives mostly blind hatred and accusations. What an angry world most people live in.
If you want to know the truth about global warming, remember that greenhouse gases are a result of the warming of the planet, not a cause. When liquids and solids heat up, they becomes gases. Simple elementary science.

Why are you denying the truth!!! I don't need to know what your motivation is. It's obvious you want the perpetuation of the status quo for the sole purpose of making money.
