IHOP has better selection. Their corn cakes are excellent. For coffee lovers, IHOP provides a whole pot at your table. Denny's makes you wait. Check out is more convenient at IHOP. IHOP provides seating that is more private. Denny's has a more open environment. There are many differences, but IHOP is simply a better experience.

I like IHOP, but I've had bad service there. One time the waiter was a total *ss and wouldn't let me substitute the eggs for hashbrowns (I don't like eggs). Thats the only restaurant I've ever been to where they wouldn't let me do that. And another time when I was at an IHOP in Orlando, the chefs got in a huge fight that spread to the dining area and everyone left. So I prefer Denny's.

IHOP,
the main reason is service. The service in each (IHOP)restaurant we've been in, has always been great.
Even tho the food fare is fine at Denny's I've not once received service in any form except very slow & sloppily done!

There are no IHOPs in Canada but there is Denny's....I went there once and it wasn't very good (maybe it was just that particular location who knows) but the IHOP commercials make their food look pretty appealing.

i've been to both only a couple of times. in my opinion, IHOP is good, and their pancakes are delicious! Denny's is a good restaurant but if i had to choose i would go with IHOP. =D

IHOP and Denny's here are really dirty and worn out so I don't patronize them anymore, but the new Perkin's restaurant is fantastic for breakfast or if you have more money go to a local diner.
