I feel, at times, like I'm a perfect duality.
I tend to be totally neutral, and only make decisions as a situation calls for it...
Does anybody think that makes me fit for debate?

...wasn't saying "entirely" neutral... just that I make decisions relevant to the topic at hand. I try to use whatever information is available to me, to do so.

..and I haven't really been in a "formal" debate. I've noticed myself over-arguing a point, among conversations. If I were to prepare myself as for what might upset somebody...I'm sure I'd choose my words more carefully.

I don't know if this will help prove/disprove it....but I noticed I said "perfect" duality, which isn't quite true. I've got a few of my own beliefs, and I know nothing is perfect, besides itself and imperfection.

The perfect one for a debate!

You keep a cool head, don't go ranting about this or that, and when it comes to the real deal situation...you're a brick wall and will stand firm, with an arsenal of facts and figures to back you up.

I wouldn't want to oppose you in a debate...or, would I?

Umm,it depends. Actually, not really duality and neutrality. As a debater, you must have the main thought that not everything is 100% right or wrong which is actually a universal fact. Debate is the process to find out the yes and no parts of any statements..the truth.

To debate, u must have very sharp sense on current issue and history so that u can make comparison, reference and so. Anyone can debate as long as u can speak well, think well.

GOOD LUCK.

I believe debating requires that you take a stand on the issue and argue it successfully, whether its an argument you agree with or not. I tend to play devil's advocate so arguing the opposite way from what I truly feel helps me to understand the issue much better.

I think it makes you capable of seeing both sides of an issue. And it you know the opposing side you are going to be much more fit for a debate since you will have to defend against their arguments.

A good debater is one who knows both sides of the issue but must be able to defend either side completely.

Dunno. To be totally neutral a lot of the time doesn't give you 'the edge' you need to debate one side of an issue.
