It's supposed to show how the song is about wanting something that's impossible (the perfect girl), because a lot of the lines contradict themselves - it's saying he wants a girl who is daring enough to wear a short skirt, but at the same time modest enough to wear a long jacket.

I like girls in jeans. It creates them look more home town like and it doesn't look like they are trying too hard but if you are trying to get this guys attention, this may not be what you want

I really do enjoy using long skirts occasionally. They are really actually more comfortable than Denims and also much less hot to wear.
