Stephen C. I don't see how you can say they got lucky. Isn't what Minor Leagers are for? For players to give bright futures to big league teams?
Well as everyone knows, the Twins are one of the best teams to produce young minor leagers, don't be shocked if they happen to do the exact same thing with new young players like in 87'.
As for the question, no, Santana will not be traded, and if he were to be traded to Houstan, Twins fan in Minnesota will be mad because they have nothing good to offer.
lately, I feel that people have been trying to rip off the Twins. Santana is worth alot, and I expect to get an even deal where if Santana can help his other team, that team should provide players that can help the Twins.

Are you serious?? Is there rumors he's going to Houston?? That's my favorite team! I'd be very surprised though if he does go to Houston, and I doubt he would. The Astros have already given up a lot of their prospects, and if they were to get Santana, I would think they would have to give up a lot. (probably a stud SP or hitter) I don't think he's been traded to Houston though. nice question

I'm from Houston and there has been no mention of a trade to the Astros. I doubt it would happen anyway, the Astros have no one left to trade.

No, either the 'Sox, or now the Yanks again. They are requiring the Twins to take Matsui and his contract as a part of the deal. Amazing! I guess they feel Johhny would be a better option in L.F. Like father like son, 'Sox fans can only be happy about that! Keep up the legacy Hank!

The Minnesota Twins got lucky twice. In 1987, they experienced the result of a class of Minor league players all coming to maturity in the same year. With the inclusion of Jack Morris and the maturity of Puckett, Hrbek, Gaetti, and the like helped them do it again, Carl Pohlad is in the process of turning the team over to one or more of his sons, who appear to be more frugal than he. So after Santana is gone, put a fork in them, they are done. If Johan goes to the Red Sox, you can put a fork in Steinbrenner

No. He won't be in Minnesota, but he won't go to Houston. Probably Red Sox.
