First of all remember that "the government" means "you and me" when it comes to money. Your question would then read, "Do you support me in the statement that all retired/oldage peoples should get medical treatment from you and me?" If when stated like that, it still has "your" support, then I would agree with you. We should be responsible for our infirm and aged. If you've ever visited a nursing home, you will realize how many of our past, although maybe unsung, "heroes" are withering away in lonely pain.

Yes ,these people have paid their dues in the form of taxes and should have some support in their old age. some have gone to wars for this country and we owe them that. If a country can spend Billions On An Illegal War... then they can afford medical!

You have the responsibility to take care of yourself for your whole life. The government does not have the right to go to the neighbors of the aged and demand money at gunpoint for their health care. You have 65 years to work to provide for your declining years. Social programs are set up to protect those who did not work, think,or care about their future. If a person doesn't care enough to pay their rent is it his neighbors job to be forced to chip in because of his lack of Responsibility.

No.

Giving something to one specific group, or groups is discrimination, give "free" health care to EVERYBODY.
(and believe me, it's not too radical a concept, other countries do it, though I do admit, those other places do not spend 700 Billion yearly on their military)
