I was 4 years old. I remember not being able to have purple, blue or red popcicles because they wouldn't be able to tell if my throat was bruised. I also remember getting a Miss Piggy doll that had the prettiest purple dress on. It's funny what you remember when you're asked something you haven't even thought about in years. And that was 27 years ago!

I was 18 when I had them removed. Prior to that, I had a lot of strep throat and other problems--after the tonsils left, NO PROBLEMS.

Because I got my tonsils out when i was really little, i get sick now like once a year. I haven't gotten sick this holiday season.

At the ripe very old age of...*&(&()*^&*( ok over forty) I still have my tonsils... but there about the only thing I have left lol....
