lotion or oil... well... some of them might actually be disadvantageous... they might cause the skin to get irritated quickly....
i prefer a real lube or no lube at all... some of these are even bad for the skin.... they will just hurt...
§ well... you dont need a tissue... but you have to deal with the mess in the end...

Lotion is entirely optional. In fact, I think it is more rare than common. Lotion requires aftercare washing and more clean-up. Too much Hassle!
All the friction that is really needed can occur UNDERNEATH the top layer of skin, so there needs to be no sliding of hand against the TOP layer of skin on the shaft. Extend your arm, pinch the skin over your elbow and wiggle it back and forth, and you'll get the idea. The big difference is that the sensory neurons inside the shaft are wired for pleasure while you have few sensory neurons around your elbow and none are wired for pleasure, to my knowledge.

They're just extras that some men like.
Personally, I like to do it dry better. The tissues are to clean up the mess after the deed is done. Personally I forego the tissues and just find a dirty t-shirt from the hamper and clean up with that.
OR, do it in the shower and that makes clean up effortless.

why do we need lube for lubrication? They use lotion for lubrication. And tissues to clean up after they are done

lotion= a better friction which feels really nice (I don't use it tho)
