Thank your uncle for the basic transportation he bought you. Now go out and get a (JOB) save enough money so in the next six months or year to purchase a brand new car. A four Cyl Honda 2.2 liter Accord should last 250,000 miles driven softly and maintaned just like it has been. The Honda might even see 300,000 miles. Remember there are expensive items like timing belt changes that need to be done and kept up. If you drive this car harder than it was driven before expect to repair it more often.

A lot depends on how well the previous owners cared for the car. I see high mileage Hondas frequently. So far, the highest for me is 306,000 miles and that particular car is still in great shape. When it comes to scheduled maintenance, don't be a cheapskate. Good luck with the car.

Well, if it has in fact been kept in good condition, that all depends on how well you drive and maintain it. I have a 91 accord lx with 215k miles on it, and it runs perfectly, and is faster than some of the (same generation) accords that have had their motors replaced.

Haha that Martha Jones chick made me laugh. Your car has a lot of miles, but it can last for a few more years with replacement parts. Replace the belts, hoses, spark plugs, fuel system, engine and transmission. The engine is sure to last.

My son is a honda mechanic and says as long as you take care of it, you can drive it indefinitely.

My 94 accord had 350K when I sold it..It's still around town with 400K on it..The car would be fine..just change the timing belt when you buy the car. The cars are simple to work on.
