Bret Hart is BETTER than Shawn Michaels. People who say HBK havent been watching wrestling for to long to know who Bret Hart is.

the hitman had more title runs (so far) with five wwf heavyweight titles and 2 wcw championships, and had more main events at wrestlemania. Michaels has four heavyweight title runs(i believe) and a couple wrestlemania main events. Hart was the second wrestler ever to complete the triple crown(tag, intercontinental, and world)michaels accomplished this as well. They both had good tag careers id say their just about equal in that department. Each wrestler was the main attraction for WWE at one point in their career, harts run at the top was a little bit longer though. Head to head they put some great matches on but michaels got the last laugh. Michaels is a better badguy and hart is a better goodguy. Their both very good and this is a tough question but i think the hitman edges shawn michaels by a hair.

Well Bret "The Hit-Man" Hart is the most legendary man in the history of any kind or form of wrestling, and when he was a young man, he was the greatest athlete wrestling had ever seen. To this day he still is, and based as a technician and a pure WRESTLER, He is more talented than anyone that has been seen in that ring and that is a damn fact! HBK is an amazing athlete but Bret Hart is better than anyone that has been seen in that buisness! Not Hogan, Flair, Taker, HHH, The Rock, Stone Cold or HBK can compete with him when it comes to wrestling ability.

Both are living legends, both have contributed so much to the world of wrestling. Bret Hart is better simply because he was the greatest technical wrestler of all time. Shawn is great but he comes up short when compared to The Hitman.

Bret Hart:
-More mature throughout his career; Shawn Michaels took years to be mature in the business
-Got over and earned his status without controversy
-A more solid wrestler in the ring (Shawn Michaels was mostly flashy and charismatic, which doesn't always help put on great matches)
-The best out of a rare breed (at least today) of basic, technical wrestlers.
-He put over more people than Shawn Michaels ever has (including Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels). He never put his ego in front of putting people over until he was considering moving from WWF/E to WCW.

Shawn Michaels has the right ring ethic. klnows how to get a crowd going. Knows how to "Steal" the show. hence the name Showstoppa!
