I rather take a right up then get termination. But he saw me for not even brief secs. He just embarassed the heck out of me and its happened twice in a 1 year and half time frame.
I was asleep as far as the guest was concern so what could I say to counter that with my boss and bring doubt if I could? Any advice would be helpful other than getting rest lol

Just tell boss the truth if he asks about it-- and tell him what you're doing to prevent giving guests the wrong impression in the future. Don't make excuses: take responsibility for giving a guest a bad impression, whatever the cause. What your boss wants to know is that you understand the problem, take responsibility for it, and are taking action to prevent it in the future.

"I had the allergies stopping my head up to where I couldn't breathe, and I took several decongestant pills trying to get some relief. The darn things always seem to make me drowsy when I use them, and sometimes a little dopey. I don't recall nodding off, and I do remember the guest -- I think the guest just mistook my being a little out of it on a quiet night. I apologize if I made the wrong impression with the guest. Next time, I'll try some of those Daytime tabs that aren't supposed to be like that and have some hot tea."

perhaps your excuse is that you are human?

did he catch you in a back room laying on a stack of mattresses? don't worry about it, do your job.

Tell him you were checking your eyelids for holes. Fortunately you didn't find any so sick leave won't be necessary.
