i just saw i am legend las nite and i have a question if they cutoff manhattan when the infection hit how did Anna and Ethan get to Dr. Nevil?

They took advantage of all the stranded transportation. I think in the original story they survived in a Department Store and moved from building to building until they meet him. In this movie she is more mobile and resourceful like the doctor.

I was thinking about that too...but because it seems that all mechanical contraptions are still working 3 years later, perhaps they found a helicopter and Anna just happens to be a licensed helicopter operator.
I guess I allowed myself into willing suspension of disbelief, because some small unanswered questions like this didn't bother me, and I liked the movie.

As I recall when Anna was talking about how they survived she said they lived on a rescue boat from Sao Paulo. I suppose they just stopped at the dock based on neville's radio transmission.

I saw it too and thats a good question, I guess its just one of those movie things where they do it just for the movie not thinking practical.

I guess they rafted or swam across the river and found one of those shiny new Ford SUVs that were fully fueled and in perfect working order waiting for them. Apparently Manhattan is chock full of them! That movie sucked...
