Me and my long term girlfriend just broke up

No, it's not a stupid question at all. Of course you are lonely when you have just broken up with your girlfriend. And yeah...that makes you single but not necessarily ready to be on the market yet...because you will still have some residual stuff to dfeal with...and it's not fair to have a rebound person (although it can be fun for you!). Gebnerally when you break up you find just what a tightly knit couple you were...and wonder where all your old interests and friends went? If you need a bit of time for introspection and healing...take it. And when you are ready, go out again...with the intention of just meeting new people, not a new someone. And things will start looking up for you. Please remember, it is not a reason to find someone new because you are lonely and don't want to be by yourself: work on liking yourself and your own company first - the rest will follow naturally in due course as you become ready for it. I don't know what your circumstances are or who broke up with whom...but these are general rules I have seen, and been advised about, and followed, and they do work. All the best.

I usually take my frustration out in my writing. Or, while I may not agree with the religion, church is a great place to meet people and socialize. Another place to try is libraries, coffeeshops, and tattoo/piercing places.

I'm straight, but the answer is the same.

Be creative, or focus on your professional life. Me, I got kids and I sing my butt off on Thursday night karaoke. I'm also writing songs and I spend more time here helping people like you. That gets me on.

get out of your house.....find old buddies or find new ones......go to gay bars.......or be involved in gay activism....it's a great way to meet people that you connect with......join a gym or other type of classes.................if you still don't want to do any of the above, go work, make money and buy things for yourself.....but u need human touch....so you better get out if you want any....
