I was wondering if I'd notice much difference in my daily PC playing, Mostly world of warcraft, Crysis, Guitar Hero 3, UT3, etc. I was looking to Upgrade my CPU from an AMD Socket 939 3700 San Diego single Core, to an AMD socket 939 X2 4200 dual core.

Heres my current Setup:

AMD 3700 San Diego, Single Core
1 gig Corsair value Select PC 3200 ram
Western Digital 80 gig HD
XFX Geforce 8800 GTS 320 ram

The slow clocked X2 4200 would hardly make any difference unless you overclock it to 2.5gHz or better. That would ensure that it does not bottleneck the fast graphics card.

I don't think the extra core would be as beneficial as a memory upgrade to about 2GB. While running the games check perfmon.exe or task manager and see if your cpu is topping out over 75 or 80% consistently.

If it is then you are CPU bound and an upgrade would show vast improvement, but RAM is always the first choice.
