First he is not going to get nominated
secondly he will not be president
thirdly there are better and more qualified people who stand a better chance
Even if the voters dont pick hillary, i very much doubt, they would pick Edward
Itd very fancyful to think that he would be picked from a bunch of better qualified white men and women, call it racist, but if you think otherwise in a country where 80% are caucasian then you are decieving yourselves
They love the hype, but when it comes down to doing business on january 3rd, Democrats would never take a chance with Him, knowuing thiere are other qualified candidates that can win the white house
The presidency its not about making history I.E Hillary and Obama.....
The Kingpins in the Democratic party will pull all the stop they can to elect a qualified and winnable candidate............right now, they are permiting everyone to say or think whatever they like

I meant to say i very much doubt they wiould pick Obama, when they have edward to turn to.
Most of the people supporting Obama, are either Black or disgruntled people.
Those White people supporting Obama are those who hope the democrats loose the the next election ,so they can win the white house when they run
Dont you know that when KERRY lost to BUSH, all the present candidates where happy ,cos they would have a shot?
its called politics

Sadly----Many of Obama's fans are very obviously supporting him & not other Candidates because the other Candidates are NOT Black. As such, this is a bigoted reason to vote for Obama & is discriminatory against ALL other Candidates.------Equally Sad is the fact that Obama will obviously obtain fans SOLELY because many of Oprah's mindless flock of zombies will probably vote for Obama because they never had a thought of their own & will read any book or vote for any Candidate that Oprah endorses.---Re: Your question asking where have they been all their lives ??---I would REALLY appreciate it if someone asked this question of Oprah who has suddenly become a rabid, fervent, aggressive supporter of Obama for US President despite the fact that Oprah NEVER voiced or displayed ANY INTEREST in ANY prior Presidential Race ?

I understand why you feel this way. In school we are taught to be ignorant. If you research, you will see that 5 of the american president's where of mixed blood. the first one, the one before Washington(there where about 7 who served 1 year terms during the wartime.) was a darkskinned spanish Moor He is on the back of the 2 dollar bill. He signed the declaration of independence. Hamillton was one .But do don take my word. Search the net. Look at the official white house archives. It's all there. As far as Obama is concerned, He will make the 6th President of this country that was mixed with African blood. Now get mad and research it. lol

Obama won't change a damned thing. He's part and parcel of the corrupt Chicago political machine. Contrary to the image he projects, he's about as clean as my dirty laundry! And all his platitudes about hope, etc, is just empty rhetoric. Analize it closely and he really hasn't said anything of consequence, but he can sure make saying nothing sound good, can't he? I tried to remember when was the last time I heard this "feel good" mantra, talk of new leadership, hope, etc. It was 1976, and the candidate was Jimmy Carter. Let's not make another mistake like that, okay?

I am neither black nor disgruntled and I would take Obama's inexperience anytime over the supposedly experienced incumbent administration. You have no way of knowing how much of that 80% of the Caucasian population will vote for Obama. You're deceived if you think all white people just vote for white people and all black people just vote for black people. What a racist way of thinking?

While I agree with the questioner and some of the answers , considering for a moment that Obama gets nomination and even wins in the finals, all this flocking around him, Oprah included , is for grabbing the spoils of the highest office of the country that is the sole super power.

Actually, I would say, if it's not Hillary, then Obama would be the next one I would vote for.
There are a few things against Obama.
His inexperience.
Bush is extremely inexperience and his 7 years thus far have been disastrous.
And Obama's past with addiction also eerily mirrors Bush's.

Obama brings hope and change. In my view, he can bring a nightmare and a change for the worse. Reasons: his political inexperience, his muslim upbringing, his indecisiveness, etc.
In the Iowa debate, he said his new year resolution is to be less timid, while hillary's resolution is to lose weight and win the nomination and election. What a difference!

Your words:
First he is not going to get nominated
secondly he will not be President
So, what is your point?
And, assuming that you are wrong, you very conveniently forget the total disgust that the majority ot the 80% WASP electorate feels towards WASP (Republican) bunglers and perverts.
Time for change!
Hillary or Obama!

this is one of those extremely rare times i find myself agreeing in part with a liberal. obama fans as most liberals have clearly been sold a bill of goods to think its all over but the shouting. the problem with your thinking is the word qualified and democrat in the same sentence, as its an oxymoron. let me remind you of the low benchmark in ethics and candor the clintons brought us.
democrats have embraced the maddening race toward socialism and a dangerous and foolhardy approach of unilateral surrender to al qaeda who clearly wants the west dead and will do so at any cost.
presumtive, absolutely...again, qualified, GOD NO. i dont have a kingpin of a party permit me to say or think whatever i want. i do it on my own. again, i partially agree with the premise of your question and think the obama fans have clearly been duped by the rhetoric of the party and thats what makes them think the way they do.

I DEF. agree
Im a republican but i agree on your whole concept about how the white house is ment to hold the better person that is fit to run the USA and protect its people, not who can make history and be the first woman or black to run the country.
WELL SAID MY FRIEND
