I'm 79, not in the best of health, so my computer is my link with the outside. I enjoy making CD's/DVD's from my old cassettes and also like working with old family photographs.
This year, I would like to buy an inexpensive Inkjet Printer, that has the added facility of being able to print photographs/pictures/clip art, in colour, directly onto CD's and DVD's and it must also of course be capable of normal colour and b/w printing.
What make and model do you recommend?
Have you had personal experience of the inkjet printer you recommend?
Kind regards and Compliments of the Season.

You need to look at all the options and of course your budget but I would suggest that you stay with Epson but be sure to use their own paper as other can cause running ink and other issues if of a sub standard quality.

I have attached a link to the site see what you fancy then go to Amazon or other on line store and get the best price.

I run two small business from a home office and we do a lot of photo and graphics work and Epson are always streets ahead of other printers we have 4 and all give excellent results.

Try and stay away from Lexmark they are cheap to buy but best buy a dozen as the ink is as expensive as a new printer.

Once you have decided ask another question on here to ID the cheapest place to get genuine ink as that is where you will really save some money in the long term.

Compliments of the season and happy shopping.

I have been using an Epson 320R for about 2 years now, with great results, photos, normal printing, and CD's.
I have used this with a Continuous Ink Supply System, carts work out at about forty pence each (thats equivalent cost, 600ml of ink costs £20:00 = 45 carts)
I have put a link to a deal the guys I dealt with for my system, excellent service.

Because of the time difference (2yrs) I have not had personal experience of this printer.
By the way, having gone through 1200ml, I just ordered 1800ml, saves so much grief running out of ink etc.....
As to "voiding warranties etc, i have saved so much its immaterial, could afford in cost saving terms to get 3 new printers....

If you're posting from the UK, may I recommend visiting:

http://www.epson.co.uk/printers/claria_photographic_printers.htm?Section=home

They have many printer/all-in-one machines that print directly to CD and DVD. You'll be able to compare feature, benefits and pricing.

(If you're posting from somewhere else, navigate back to Epson.com 'home' page and pick a different region and go from there).

Good Luck!

You can upgrade your disc drive to be able to print things directly onto a CD or DVD, not sure what you would need to get though, someone here might know the finer details.
