I think that Georgia is the FAR superior team, but bowl games are a much different deal than a regular game. The true test will be if Mark Richt can the Bulldogs to come out and play with fire after they were (they feel) jobbed out of NC game appearance. If this game took place during the season at a neutral site I imagine Georgia would be favored by 2 scores. I just don't think Hawaii is ready for this tough of a defense. Brennan will get hit hard, and often-something he hasn't faced in his whole career at Hawaii. I think Georgia will come out and run the ball with Knowshon Moreno very well, and set up Matthew Stafford for some big play action yardage. The Ball Coach's prediction: Take Georgia and the 9 1/2 points with the under (68).

The key to this game is keeping Hawaii's offense off of the field. Georgia has to pressure Brennan hard and fast, and have to make sure he doesn't have time to sit back and pick his targets. Hawaii has two or maybe three of the fastest receivers in the nation and Georgia's secondary, I hate to say, isn't fast enough to hang with them. That means Georgia has to stop the pass at it's root and that's with the QB. The second key is for Georgia to hold the ball and run on their defense. Kregg Lumpkin could be back which would mean once you count Moreno, Brown, Southerland and Lumpkin you have four strong running backs that will run on Hawaii all day. People cite South Carolina and Tennessee as stopping Georgia's running game, but they forget one key. Knowshon Moreno wasn't playing more than a few downs per game then due to Richt's loyalty to his seniors. I don't see any way Hawaii can stop him, and once you count all the subbing Georgia will do to keep him fresh, they've got serious trouble. Running the ball runs the clock and keeps Hawaii off the field. And here and there Stafford will throw a 40 or 50 yard pass just to keep them on their toes. Hawaii knows that what Georgia will do, but there's no way they'll stop it. It's that simple.

It would definitly seem that way. The Bulldogs have had a very good offense, maybe one of the best in the country, over the past couple months. That should definitly work to their advantage because Hawaii is not exactly known for their defense. The bulldog offense will move the ball pretty easily the entire game and I don't think they'll struggle to score at all. Their defense, on the otherhand, is actually quite good. Not among the best in the country, but good enough that they'll be able to stop Hawaii a few times. I think this one could turn out like the Louisville/MTS game, where both teams end up scoring 40+ and Georgia should come out on top.

I love how analysts and gurus alike are still not giving Hawaii the respect they deserve. In a season where Notre Dame is losing like Kansas and Kansas is winning like USC and Michigan is getting torched by App State and South Florida is actually ranked #1 at one point...you all still don't seem to get it, do you? This season is no fluke, it's been destiny all along. A destiny college football needed to regain it's purity and maybe, just maybe, initiate a playoff system. Only after such a bizarre season no one saw coming but maybe me and a few other TRUE FANS and not bandwagoning morons, have Herbstreit and company started talking about a playoff system, making a show out of the mocks and creating serious discourse that should have taken place years ago. I applaud June Jones and company for the enormous strides they've taken over the last few years and I KNEW it was only a matter of time before they would shake up the NCAA at it's core. Hopefully, by the end of it all, Hawaii winning and winning big of course will have dissolved the terms "Non-BCS Conference" and "Strength of Schedule."

In a blowout. Everybody seems to forget about Georgia's offense, especially Knowshon Moreno. Hawaii hasn't seen a running back like this.
