Smile alot. Nod your head up and down alot and say ahah uhhuh alot as well. You could also go to the library and check out a video or audio tape or dvd on learning the greek language. Or look on line and download a program. Lots of these Learning Foriegn language programs are acceled there made for you to learn very fast!! good luck and remember to smile, nod and ahhhuh!!

If they also speak English, their mother is being rude for allowing that when you are there. If they do not speak English, learn some Greek. Ignore the kids unless you are planning to marry this woman.

Learn greek - I ain't no language wiz - but I picked up langauge tape an in a week had enough for standard holiday/restaurant use.

My wifes Welsh, I don't speak it, but are often in the middle of the conversation. They will talk to you in greek to annoy you, either learn the language or continue to be abused.

Maybe try getting a book about basic greek or emergency greek or something and use it, they'll love it; even if you make mistakes.

I've never tried any of those things. I'd suggest that you:
1. Try learning Greek
2. Encourage them to learn English
3. Enjoy not knowing what they're moaning about.
I suggest you try working your way down that list.
