Norton, and other security system is a sucker play.
FREE anti-virus and anti-spyware can be downloaded FREE from www.free.grisoft.com
Also. Windows Vista has 'defender' and a firewall built in. I have never had any trouble, and the free, or included stuff is ALL I have or use.

In my spare time I am a beta tester for just about all antivirus/antispyware. Nortons is pure garbage, resource hog, finds very few viruses, and when a virus is found fails to remove 100%. Updates will not download or install. They are experts in marketing skills.

You can download Avast free for home personal use. You will get on the hour updates and comes with an excellent background scanner that really works 100%. Light years ahead of Nortons garbage.

stay away from current norton / symantec retail products
will slow your computer to a crawl and send viruses to all your buddies
If there was one program that a virus writer would write viruses to bypass would it not be the retail program that nubes buy based on market share
I am always amazed at how nubes feel that they are "protected" by Norton Antivirus and security / firewall
All these products do is remove cash from your wallet

Go to this site:

http://www.free-av.com/

It's FREE and updates itself automatically. I was having problems with Norton and I kept getting notices that I had to get a new licence. Got monotonous. Anyway, since I installed Antivir, I've had a mean, clean machine.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I think Norton sucks - they hard sell it but it is a poor performer.
I use AVG and Spybot s&g. Both free and pretty good (you will need both though!).

'Security' not 'Cecurity' and I think your programme must be a pirate copy.. You need to download the official version from their website or buy it from all good PC retailers.
