It's windy most of the time. There are about 1 million people in the metro area. It is real spread out (2nd or 3rd largest city in area). You don't use public transportation here. There are 3 major malls. Downtown is not a popular hangout at night... it is strictly business 8-5. There is a area for entertainment nearby the downtown area for night life called, "Bricktown."
There are a lot of tornadoes here. You must know where a storm shelter is nearby for your own safety and not wait until the last minute to find one. Housing cost is near the bottom in the country.
As far as nightlife you don't typically go to one area and stay there as it is spread out. There are a lot of lakes here. Typically used for skiing, sail boating and fishing, however most fishing is done about 1 to two hours away from OKC (Oklahoma City).
Dirt around here is "red." It gets over 100 degrees in the summer for about a week. About two snows every winter... typically only a few inches but always ice storms for a couple of days which is much more hazardous than snow.
There is 3 main colleges in the metro and 2 or 3 religious colleges. There are 3 major Universities that are about 30 minutes, 40 minutes and 1 hour away. One University in the city, OCU.
Women are good looking here and healthy... much like Texas. People are friendly. It take about 40 minutes on a completely clear highway to go from the far North side of town to the far South side of town since it is spread out. However, there isn't much traffic. There are a few toll roads in the city. Cox cable is the main cable company.
Most businesses are stuck in certain areas. For instance Home Depot, Office Depot, Wal-Mart Supercenter, Sam's Club (like COSCO), Circuit City, Best Buy, Target Supercenter, Macey's, Sears, Pennys, Lowes, Krispy Kream, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc., is in let's say a 6 city block area and you have to drive for another 15 minutes to find the next batch of them all stuck together.
There are a lot of theatres, steak houses, BBQ restaurants and Mexican restaurants. With a hand full of mom and pop Chinese and Japanese. I think OKC is the capital of "fast food" as having more than any other city. Gasoline is cheap. Heating is with electric or natural gas. Most homes are not two stories but single level. Police are good and tickets are high... usually $180 - $200. Car tags are cheap and based on the value of the car. Car insurance is cheap.
There is a major river that separates the south side and north side of town. We basically have a highway loop, although not called a loop that circles the city with a few smaller expressways that crisscross near the middle. About 6 major hospitals of around 700 beds each.
The closest larger city is Dallas, Kansas City and St. Lewis.
Nearby is Midwest City and Dell City... both military towns. Well, Midwest City, Dell City, Moore, Edmond, Bethany, and OKC make up the metro. There are a lot of apartments here... some 3 story and a few high-rise. Generally they are huge apartment complexes instead of smaller ones, but that provides for exercise rooms, indoor/outdoor swimming, even private DVD movie theaters.
That's about all I can think of... tell me where you are from and I can probably give you a better idea of the difference.

I live in the metro area, Edmond to be exact, which is the nicest city in oklahoma. There are not as many tornadoes as this guys makes out to be. Ive lived here for 16 years and have never seen too much damage from them. Of course Moore, oklahoma always gets hit bad when there is tornadic weather.
